We have a highly experienced supervisor team at EACS. They provide monthly two hour supervision groups to counsellors on placement in groups of three or four. The groups are eclectic, with both counsellors and supervisors coming from a variety of training modalities. This provides a rich mixture of approach and experience, allowing our practitioners to share and learn from one anotherís different style.

The aim of the groups is to provide clinical supervision of the client work undertaken by our counsellors at EACS. It is not a training supervision and we therefore require all our counsellors to have an external supervisor in the modality of their training.

We encourage supervisors to attend supervisor committee meetings (3 in total per annum). As well as providing a space for mutual support and an exchange of ideas, these meetings are important in helping supervisors keep abreast of news at EACS and to raise practice and ethics issues. The meetings also give supervisors an opportunity to meet colleagues and to be a part of the EACS community.

Supervision vacancies arise from time to time and anyone wishing to register an interest in supervising for EACS should contact Ginny Ellis ( or call the office on 020 8998 3361), and provide an up to date CV.  We try to offer a spread of days and times to our counsellors and so our supervision groups run from Monday to Friday daytime or evening and on Saturday morning.
